Strong Fundraising and Key Endorsements Build Donnelly's Momentum

St. Louis, MO - Maintaining her aggressive fundraising pace, State Representative Margaret Donnelly, Democratic Candidate for Attorney General, announced today that her campaign has raised $753,832 to date [1].  A lifelong Democrat, Donnelly is the first woman in Missouri history to run for Attorney General.

"I am grateful for the incredible support we've received from voters throughout Missouri," said Donnelly.  "We've been crisscrossing the state, and the more that people learn about my record of fighting for Missouri families and my vision for protecting them as Attorney General, the stronger our campaign grows."

Donnelly continues to attract new donors, and reported 1,559 contributors overall during the first quarter.  More than 92 percent of her donors are from Missouri - "a strong sign", Donnelly says "that our financial support will carry over into the voting booths."

Within the last month, Donnelly also picked up two key union endorsements.  The Missouri State Council of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), which represents over 14,000 workers, endorsed her at the end of March.  SEIU is well-known for bolstering campaigns with its broad on-the-ground support and organizational capacity.  Just last week, the Local 6320 of the Communication Workers of America (CWA) also voted to back Donnelly.  A former CWA member, Donnelly is the only former union member in the race.

"Our campaign definitely has the momentum on our side, and I'll continue working hard to earn the trust and confidence of voters across Missouri," said Donnelly.
